Week 16, 17, & 18 2025-2026
These past few weeks together since our return from winter break have been so. very. full. We’ve experienced both the excitement of several now days and the excitement of welcoming new young people and are running behind on our typical narrative reflection. In the interest of catching up to the present, we humbly offer this condensed list of some of the joy that's been happening here: adding instruments and making music in the digital studio; building forts in the indoor space; sledding (so. much. sledding!); discussing and processing world events; nerding out over music theory; H baking another one of his delicious cakes; enjoying H's cake; making quick pickles; meetings of the Root Magic book club; Train Club with O (a club for anything to do with trains); investigating animal tracks in the snow; making paper airplanes; various sewing projects including dolls, hoods, and scrunchies; DnD; capture the flag; library organizing; fire building; "savory s'mores" or "roasted charcuterie"; and several birthday celebrations, among so much more. What sacred and profound work this is, getting to be with one another in these ways every day.
With gratitude, care, and hope for the future,
Emily, Sarah, and Zoey
